Cambus O' May
About Cambus O' May
Cambus O'May is one of those places that you will want to visit again and again. It has lochans, bridges and winding trails through the Scots Pine.
We also have some walks for less-abled visitors leading to wonderful view points and past the shallow lochans to picnic benches.
The area has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) for its geological features.
Paths
All the paths within this wood are waymarked as footpaths or as all-ability paths. They are vulnerable to erosion if the surface is damaged. Please respect our efforts to make this wood suitable for less-able people and for families by not cycling or horse riding here.
If you leave the paths and go into the forest during the spring and summer, please keep your dog under very close control - either at heel or on a lead. This is to help protect capercaillie.
How to get there:
Cambus O' May is part of Upper Deeside Forests. Ballater, Aboyne, and Dinnet are the nearest towns or villages.
