Walking

Families enjoying Westonbirt arboretumDelamere is an ideal place to go for a walk. There are dry sandstone paths, lots of mature trees to shade or shelter under depending on the weather and the flooded forest of Blakemere attracts birds to watch.

Delamere Forest Park provides many easy to walk forest roads and trails ideal for the less able or families with children.  In addition, Old Pale provides a superb new destination to walk to with spectacular views extending as far as Liverpool's famous skyline of cathedrals and harbour buildings.

There is plenty of parking and the home cooking available at the Delamere Cafe makes it a great place to finish after a long or short walk.
