Welcome to the National Arboreta

The National Arboreta were formed in 2001 with the joining of the Forestry Commission’s two premier tree collections – Bedgebury Pinetum in Kent and Westonbirt Arboretum in Gloucestershire. Together they contain approximately 4000 different taxa and as such form one of the most comprehensive tree collections in the world. Working in partnership with other organisations we are dedicated to safeguarding the world’s trees by promoting wider understanding through research, conservation and education.
