The opportunity

Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS) is offering the opportunity to be part of an expanding Galloway Forest Park, which has strong future potential in the tourism industry.

Properties for long term lease

Four locations within the park have the potential to be let long-term by businesses, with a view to providing a novel recreational service.

Applications are therefore invited from individuals or businesses to take on a 10-year lease of any of the four properties within Galloway Forest Park.

See details of the properties available.

Queen's Way from Murray's Monument, Galloway Forest ParkIncreasing visitor numbers and tourist expenditure promise the successful applicants a real opportunity to share in the development of Galloway Forest Park as it grows into one of Scotland’s foremost tourist destinations.

This opportunity provides additional benefits:

  • The option to negotiate the terms of the lease agreement
  • The opportunity to develop, enhance and expand an innovative and novel idea
  • A formal annual review process between the business and FCS will be undertaken to promote better understanding of each other’s aims and objectives
